Giving Hands Music

With over a decade of experience as a producer and sound engineer, my background spans broadcast, post-production, and studio recording. I began my career with the BBC before earning a first-class degree in Media Production at Ulster University—where I received both the Dean’s Award and the UTV Award for Excellence—and completing a postgraduate in Audio-Visual Post Production at Queen’s University Belfast.

I hold professional certifications as an Avid Pro Tools Music Professional and Pro Tools Specialist, ensuring every stage of production meets industry standards. Alongside this, I gained a Level 5 qualification in supporting learners with specific learning difficulties (dyslexia), which informs the practical, collaborative approach I bring to every project.

For more than a decade I’ve worked as senior engineer at AMP Studio, producing, mixing, and mastering projects for disc, streaming, and broadcast, while mentoring music-tech graduates. I’ve also been fortunate to learn directly from Grammy-winning engineers—experience that sharpened my ear for clarity, depth, and impact.

The name Giving Hands Music reflects what I believe production should be about: support, collaboration, and helping artists bring their music to life.

Today, I bring together all of that experience—industry mentorship, professional certification, academic achievement, and artist coaching—to help musicians create work they can be proud of. Whether you’re recording at home, working in a studio, or producing electronically, my goal is simple: to make sure your music sounds confident, competitive, and ready for release.
